TAIPEI, 6 October 2026 — As the global textile industry accelerates its shift toward low-carbon, high-performance, and smart materials, the “Taiwan Textile Select: RECODE 2050” fashion show was held during the Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS).
The Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) organised the show under the Textile Integrated Marketing and Business Development Project, commissioned by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs. Under the theme “FUNCTION IN FABRIC,” this year’s show translated Taiwan’s textile innovations in advanced fibres, sports performance, protective structures, thermal regulation, circularity, and next-generation finishing into tangible fashion expressions.
Hwafune partnered with designer label ALLENKO3, using its PORLITE® performance fabrics to capture the rhythm and movement of city life.
Design Concept: Moving Through The Scenes Of City Life
Material Selection: PORLITE® Three-Layer Fabrics
From the office to the commute to a workout, a single day brings changing weather and activity levels. To meet these demands, the collection features two PORLITE® three-layer laminated fabrics from Hwafune:

Key Advantages Include:
-
High-performance protection:
A waterproof/breathable rating of 20K ensures reliable performance in both urban and outdoor environments. -
Lightweight comfort:
Without the need for a conventional PU protective layer, the fabrics offer markedly improved breathability and a softer hand feel, making them suitable for extended wear. -
Environmental responsibility:
The PFAS-free PP membrane is produced through a solvent-free process with low energy and water consumption, in line with global sustainability goals.
With these properties, ALLENKO3 balances function, sustainability, and aesthetics, creating everyday wear built for city life while showcasing the competitive strength of Taiwan’s textile industry on the global stage.
Continued Innovation: The Latest In PORLITE® 3.0 Technology
Building on this foundation, Hwafune launched PORLITE® 3.0, also known as PORLITE® Flex, in September 2026.
The third-generation PP membrane fabric raises waterproof/breathable performance to 30K/30K while reducing membrane weight compared with the previous generation. It also introduces stretch to PP membranes for the first time, a notable achievement given the inherently non-elastic nature of PP.
Combined with enhanced water-repellent technology and wind resistance, PORLITE® 3.0 delivers freedom of movement, weather protection and material simplicity in a single membrane.
Hwafune’s Perspective
We are honoured to take part in this initiative once again and are delighted to see ALLENKO3 incorporate PORLITE®’s performance benefits into its ‘Urban Motion’ design language. This collection demonstrates that PORLITE® is not only suited to technical outdoor apparel but can also support the demands of everyday urban life. Moving forward, Hwafune will continue to offer brands material solutions that combine performance and sustainability.
